The Approximate History of Man

Jake Tyler, a college junior currently flunking out of a small, mid-western university, tries to get some much needed science course credit by volunteering to have his brain recorded digitally to test some new software. He was not at all prepared to wake up 2,500 years in the future, in a different body, into a world that had somehow managed to lose the whole of human history, nor to find himself the most famous man on the planet. Now, if he can only manage to find a beer....
